Our office provides emergency care when you need immediate attention. Signs of a dental emergency include:

Cracked Teeth
Teeth can crack because of excessive wear, hard food, or trauma. Delaying treatment for cracked teeth can result in more extensive damage. We can provide a dental crown to strengthen and protect a cracked tooth.

An dental infection can cause an abscess, which is a collection of pus that forms around the tooth. The result is pain and swelling. Abscesses should be treated as quickly as possible to prevent the infection from spreading.

What to Do in an Emergency
To alleviate pain and swelling prior to your appointment, you can take an over-the-counter pain reliever such as ibuprofen. If the pain radiates to the outside of your cheek, you can apply an ice pack for 20-minute increments. To relieve swelling, you can rinse with a warm saline solution. Simply combine one teaspoon of salt in a cup of water. If your tooth has fallen out, try your best to keep it moist until you can visit the office.
