Dental Bridges

Are you missing one or more teeth? Is it making it difficult to chew and speak clearly? A dental bridge can replace the lost teeth to restore function and make your smile look complete and healthy once again.  Drs. Martin and Derek Farnsworth offer traditional and implant-supported bridges at Las Sendas Dental Health in Mesa, AZ.

What Are the Benefits of Dental Bridges?

Prevent Bite Misalignment and TMJ Disorder

When you lose teeth, the surrounding teeth will shift to compensate for the gap left behind. This shifting can lead to an uneven bite, putting extra pressure on the jaw and possibly leading to a TMJ disorder

Improved Eating and Speaking

When you have a complete set of teeth, you can eat a wider variety of foods, ensuring you get all the vital nutrients you need. Bridges can also help reduce or eliminate speech issues.

Improved Appearance

A complete smile looks far healthier and more attractive than a compromised smile. Dental bridges also support facial features, avoiding the appearance of gaunt or sunken cheeks.

Ready to Repair Your Smile?

If you're missing one or more teeth, a dental bridge can help you achieve a complete smile. Candidates should be in good oral health, with no active gum disease or tooth decay. If you want an implant-supported bridge, we will need to make sure you have enough healthy bone tissue in the jaw to support the implants. Our dentists can assess your candidacy for implant-supported or traditional bridges during a consultation at our Mesa, AZ, dental office.

Why Mesa Patients Choose Us  For Dental Bridges

Technology

We deliver quick and precise results for dental bridge patients thanks to the technology we have at our practice. Our CEREC® technology allows our team to craft customized porcelain dental bridges for you in just one visit. The bridges we provide look just like natural teeth. Meanwhile, our 3-D cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scanner helps our team accurately plan your treatment through digital renderings of your teeth, jaws, and other tissues.

Dedication

Drs. Martin and Derek Farnsworth are passionate about improving patients' oral health and the appearance of their smiles at their Mesa dental office. Our dentists love transforming smiles with implants, which provide unmatched support and stability to replacement teeth. Join a practice that cares about your smile, and can make each and every replacement tooth look amazing.

Comprehensive Care

Not all dentists can place and restore implants under one roof, but we can. At our upscale practice in Mesa, AZ, we are dedicated to providing the best continuity of care for outstanding results. We can provide this treatment from beginning to end with no need for referrals.

Placing Implant-Supported Dental Bridges From Consultation to a Complete Smile

Consultation

Placing an implant-supported dental bridge begins with a consultation with one of our esteemed dentists. At this time, we will get to know you and your dental concerns.

Preparatory Procedures

If you have tooth decay, gum disease, need a tooth extraction, or are lacking jawbone support, you'll need to undergo preparatory dentistry procedures before we can place your implants.

Anesthesia

Once you are ready for implant placement, the procedure starts with your dentist numbing the treatment site with local anesthesia. If you feel anxious or have difficulty sitting comfortably for long periods, we offer sedation in the form of nitrous oxide or oral conscious sedation.

Placing Implants

The titanium implants are inserted into your jawbone. We will suture the gums closed over the implants to begin the first healing period.

First Healing Period

During this first healing period, the implant will fuse to the jawbone over the course of three to six months. Once the process is complete, the implant will provide each replacement tooth with exceptional stability.

Placing the Abutment

Once we confirm that the implant has completely integrated with the jaw, your dentist will expose the implant and attach an abutment that will connect the bridge to the implant. Once the abutment is in place, the gums will be sutured closed around it, leaving the abutment accessible above the gumline.

Second Healing Period

It will take about two weeks for the gums to heal.

Impressions & Bridge Placement

We will take a digital impression of your jaw and abutments at this time to craft your custom bridge. Thanks to our on-site CEREC technology, you can receive a porcelain bridge at the end of this appointment. You can expect your bridge to look just like natural teeth.
