Why It’s Smart to
Invest in Dental Implants

Dental implants are generally considered the most beneficial method of tooth replacement and are low-risk for qualified patients. While there is a chance of complications, as with any surgical procedure, dental implants have an overall success rate of up to 98%.

Competitive Pricing & Flexible Financing

The biggest drawback of dental implant surgery for most patients is the price of treatment. Unfortunately, implants are more expensive than traditional forms of restorative dentistry. However, our Mesa, AZ, practice is committed to keeping our prices fair, competitive, and manageable with financing options through CareCredit® and LendingClub®. It is also important to consider the potential long-term savings of dental implants. Many patients can avoid costly restorative treatments in the future by protecting their oral health and bone structure with implants.

If you have any concerns about the dental implant procedure being right for you, please talk to our team during your consultation. We want to help you make informed decisions about your dental care and, ultimately, find the best treatment for your unique needs.

You’re Likely a
Candidate for Implants

  • Good Oral Health

Other than missing teeth, you should be in good oral health. If your remaining teeth are compromised by decay, we may recommend preliminary extractions. You should also have healthy gum tissue unaffected by periodontal disease.

  • Sufficient Jawbone Density

One of the most important factors for a successful implant procedure is jawbone density. If long-term tooth loss has caused jaw recession, you may need to undergo a preliminary bone graft to offset any bone loss.

  • Generally Healthy

As with any surgery, certain medical conditions like smoking, uncontrolled diabetes, and autoimmune disorders may increase the risk of complications. To ensure implants are right for you, discuss your medical history in-depth with our dentists.

What to Expect
During Implant Treatment

“As a registered Dental Hygienist I can vouch 1st hand for the expertise and quality of care and relationships here. I have had 2 implants and am very satisfied with my care.” – Cathy, 5-Star Review

Procedure Planning

We begin by carefully planning your treatment using our advanced 3D cone beam scanner. Our dentists analyze the digital images of your teeth and jawbone to determine if you need any preliminary procedures, such as a bone graft, and craft custom surgical guides to ensure precise implantation.

Implant Surgery

The next step is a surgical procedure to place the dental implants. We administer an anesthetic and any additional sedation needed to ensure your comfort. Once your mouth is numb, we create small incisions and carefully insert the posts with the help of surgical guides.

Osseointegration

Over the next four to six months, the implant posts fuse to your jawbone in a process known as osseointegration. Don't worry — we can provide you with a temporary restoration to wear during this period to fill the gaps in your smile.

Hear From an Implant Patient

“An incredible team of professionals. The best staff and everyone related to your dental needs! Today Dr Martin had the challenge of figuring out my implants that were done in Mexico several years ago. He patiently figured it out so I can get my bridge done. Courtney thank you for my cleanings as usual! Kara thank you and Carol  as always for figuring out my insurance”

 –David Mendenhall

Maintaining Your Dental Implants

You will receive detailed care instructions when your treatment is completed, but most dental implant maintenance is straightforward. One of the biggest advantages of artificial teeth is that they are attached to the implant and treated much the same way as natural teeth. Unlike removable dentures that require rinsing after meals and soaking overnight, it's unlikely you'll need to incorporate additional steps into your oral hygiene routine. Just brush and floss daily and attend regular checkups at our Mesa practice.
